“ Dined in on 01/31/25 - First time here. Have you ever dined somewhere and everything was just perfect? The food, the service, the ambiance. No? Well look no further because this is the place to be! We walked in and were greeted and seated like any other place. THEN... the experience began. You are greeted by your server and on this night, we had Simon. Such a great person! So welcoming and charismatic! He gave us the information on their Friday special, which was Kleftiko: a traditional Greek dish of slow-roasted lamb with potatoes and vegetables. Slow-roasted for six hours. I thought my friend and I agreed to share it and get another dish as well but she wanted her own. Lol so here is what we ordered: Kelftiko - 2 orders lol - The meat was soooo tender! Same with the potatoes which had a nice texture and seasoning to it. The side salad was sooo fresh! Dolmathes: Grape Leaves Stuffed with Ground Beef, Rice, Tomato, Spices, Tzatziki *Vegetarian upon Request - This was surprisingly amazing! Such a simple dish but absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of Chianti wine. Both dishes were amazing. Their food is fresh and all made in-house. Because of this, their food gives off a home-cooked feeling and personal touch. The manager came over and said hello. After a short chat, he offered us a complimentary baklava: a rich and flaky layered pastry dessert made with thin phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and a sweet syrup or honey. My friend and I are coming here at least once a month from now on. When you get amazing food and meet amazing people, how can you not?! 10/10 absolutely will be back! ”

“ They never miss! The gyro-falafel wrap is packed full of flavor, the garlic fries are a must. Even the salad is good. Service is some of the friendliest you can find in Long Beach. I even overheard some staff talking about how they've been here over 20 years. George's is the go-to for Greek in Long Beach. This location is great and very chill on weeknights. ”
“ This is a great spot for a meal! Their falafel is fantastic, and the flaming cheese is a must-try--it's both delicious and a fun novelty to impress your friends. The lemon soup is delightful--slightly tart with just the right amount of lemon flavor. My usual order is the traditional Greek salad with falafel added. While it's decent, it's not my top recommendation. The salad has more cucumbers, green peppers, and tomatoes than lettuce, and the dressing lacks a bit of flavor. That said, their kebabs, falafel, and most other menu items are consistently good! The staff is always friendly and accommodating, making it a popular choice for our work lunches. ”
“ Awesome place on second street. Decent prices and great staff. I have been here multiple times and always choose to sit outside in their patio. The food is good and especially ordering their saganaki is an experience. We normally don't go here for dinner but just order something to share and have a glass of wine or two. They have other locations as well but this one is my favorite. I definitely recommend to try this place out and have a great evening with food and wine. ”

The only thing that's weird is that you can find several different menus for their restaurant and it was confusing as to the best way to order. I hope that fix that because they have great food. I didn't even know until a fellow Yelp elite messaged me! Thank you for that. Anywho, let me paste my review here! Note: my family and I visited this location two months ago. We usually don't venture out to 2nd Street, Belmont Shore to often because there's just isn't any where to park. But today, we were craving Greek food and what better place to have Greek food was none other than George's Greek Cafe. My family and I decided last minute to go to George's Greek for dinner. I was worried that we're not going to find parking and then we would have to wait for our table because our son is in the spectrum. Sometimes waiting is not ideal. Well we got lucky with parking and when we checked in with the host, she was so nice and brought us in to our table right away. Our server was great! She checked in on us every now and then to make sure we were doing good. I always order the chicken spinachi and it was delicious as I remember it being. My favorite thing about this dish is the spinach and feta baked together and then topped on a chicken. Just the combination it's so good! I will continue ordering this dish for as long as we go there. My husband enjoyed his salad and my son enjoyed his chicken fingers. They both enjoyed their meal ;) We're for sure going to return! ”
